With a recent batch of chili happily marrying in the fridge, and a family-size bag of tortilla chips waiting to be devoured in the cupboards, it seemed only logical to me that we throw together a bowl of 5-minute chili cheese dip! Prepare to be wowed!
1/2 small container cream cheese
1 cup homemade chili
1/2 shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack are good choices)
1. Take a microwave-safe bowl and spread the cream cheese evenly across the bottom to form the bottom layer.
2. Next, take the chili and create another layer.
3. Finally, top with the shredded cheese and microwave for 2 minutes or until the center is hot and registers 165F on a thermometer. Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
